SMOKIN’ JO [Area Remote/ We Love…]

Smokin Jo is one of the most talented Dj’s to emerge from the British dance music scene. Jo’s undeniably cutting edge sound has carved her a niche in clubland.

She has played in pretty much every corner of the globe and in every major nightclub you could care to mention: Womb in Tokyo, Panorama Bar in Berlin, Made / Warung in Brazil, Cavo Paradiso in Mykonos, Crobar in New York, Space in Miami & Ibiza, Vinyl in New York, Zouk in Singapore, Fabric in London and Cocoon in Frankfurt are just some of the venues she has played in recent years.

TIM PARIS [It’s a Fine Line/Kill the DJ]

After building up a dj reputation in ¨parisian underground circles, doing parties with Jef K, Chloé, Alexkid and Ivan Smagghe, Tim Paris teamed up with Jef K to help him develop the now infamous Crack & Speed label.

Working the dancefloor but also developing his skills in the studio, Tim Paris had his first breakthrough with the remix of a rock tune called “Future Now” that had been picked up by Ralph Lawson’s 2020 Vision label and become one of the biggest underground tunes of 2004. From there Tim Paris didn’t stop but continued to release quality tracks and remixes.

Now based in London, Tim Paris started in 2005 his own label, again with Jef K, ‘Marketing Music’ and is considered by both DJs and press as one to watch in a (very) near future.


The sound of Tsuba and Kevin as a DJ and producer is at the deeper end of dance music with emphasis on deep grooves and spacey melodies for late night/early morning clubs.

A DJ for more than 10 years dates in 2008 included Fabric, The End and T Bar in London, Lost Baggage in Sydney, Zouk in Singapore, Snatch in Miami, City Hall in Barcelona and for Mandarine Crew in Mexico City. No label owner / DJ would be the complete package without a club night and the infamous ‘issst’ ticks that box. 2007 saw the release of the second issst double CD mixed by Kevin and released through Global Underground.

A late starter, Kevin started producing in 2007 and debut single ‘Jaguar Shoes’ appeared on GU’s Afterhours compilation picking up support along the way from Sasha through to 2000 and One.  February 2009 saw the release of second single, ‘Cantona Kung Fu’, reaching number 2 in the deep house chart on Beatport and recently licensed to compilations by Steve Bug and Terry Lee Brown Junior.

KANIO [Lower East]

Kanio smashed his way onto the underground dance music scene in late 2007 with a string of chart topping productions. Widely regarded as the largest download site worldwide, Kanio’s productions have regularly featured in the charts on Beatport.

In little more than a year he achieved a massive 5 top tens and a further 7 top 20’s, cementing his position on the worldwide scene, and becoming nominated for best minimal artist at the Beatport music awards 2009. he has already secured appearances at some of the UK’s hottest parties including Circoloco, Fabric, Matter, Jaded at The End, Ketoloco, Lo*kee, and Redlight. He is sure to rock any dancefloor with his flawless blend of house and techno.


Following his formative years as a party warrior, Nisekay (DJ, producer and co-creator of lo*kee) was born out of a love for a good party. Influenced by his early experiences with Goa’s psychedelic trance parties and the techno/house of Ibiza, he was struck by a love for underground electronic music.

In early 2008, he rented a warehouse unit in East London with the sole purpose of holding parties in his living room. lo*kee was born. His kitchen became the bar and over the next year some of the biggest names in the underground scene graced his decks.

With the help of an ever growing techno circus, he is now running lo*kee in a number of secret East London locations.

LUKE DONINGTON [Genius/Foundation/Siren Retreat/Catpeople]

LUKE DONINGTON, Mr GENIUS, is for those in the know THE DJ to watch, having already been a successful spinner in the 90’s under the alias COOL HANDS LUKE with residences in some seminal club such as The Queen (Paris), Limelight, Billion Dollar Babes to name a few. 2009 has seen him bounce back into the djing fold playing alongside everyone from SPENCER PARKER, PIER BUCCI to GILES SMITH & JAMES PRIESTLEY and is a jock who happily juggles his passion for deep techno, booming underground house and often surprising yet always accessible dancefloor action. 2010 looks set to be an even better year for this man about town!

NOT SHY [This is Not A Rave / DO IT!]

Not Shy is one of East London’s freshest new talents and best kept secrets, gaining a reputation as a force to be reckoned with.

Not Shy bounced onto the scene with an explosive first set in July 08 which gained this new comer the attention of ravers, club kids, industry players and established DJs. He’s rapidly rising towards the top of the London scene playing at a number of clubbing institutions including Trailer Trash, Always Fridays @ Egg, T-Bar & Calling All Tribes.

He also co-promotes his own night This Is Not A Rave which is growing a reputation for bringing some of the most up-front electronic music to the club scene.

MAKER + MAYER [Tonic Recs]

Rob Meyer and Jon Maker, friends since their studies together in classical music, became involved in the London house & techno scene in 2008. Since then, the duo have brought the house down at such venues as Fabric, Egg, Ministry of Sound, The Lightbox, Public Life, The Den & Centro, Corsica Studios, and many more.

M+M’s orders are playful & bouncy techno, tech house & minimal. Each and every set from these boys has been a big step in their journey, speeding to where they are now, with headline bookings and ever-growing parties.

Maker + Meyer have landed their first joint release on Tonic Records, as well as a debut EP from Jon Maker. Look out for these in early 2010 on Beatport and all other good online music stores!

WOSMO [Family Affair]

Anja Womso grew up in Bronx, NYC, but was born in Moscow, Russia, where started to play music in 2002. Influenced from classical music to experimental electro, her sets are eclectic, anything from rare old disco records to freshly pressed electro goes.

Currently based in London, Anna is producing bootlegs, making sounds for swiss watch and russian organic food campaigns, contemporary art and fashion shows.

Gigs have taken her to far afield to Russia and France as well as regularly playing out on the London Scene.


Malarkey is the collaboration of two dynamic and versatile artists and DJs from Cambridge, after hosting event after event, packing dance floors to the brim they moved to Shoreditch to break on to the ever rising minimal and techno scenes. With their unique dark deep sound, playful leads and funky rhythms it won’t be long before they’re popping up at different venues supporting the best in local DJs.
